Create one clear source at a time

Start on the marketplace most likely to hold the item. Save and review that search before using “Search another marketplace” to create a separate draft. Carry over the buying intent, then inspect the location and available details because the second marketplace may express them differently.

Give each search a name that includes the source only when it helps you recognise the Feed. “Gaming laptop, local” and “Gaming laptop, shipped” may be more useful than two identical names if those are the real differences.

Keep shared decisions consistent

Use the same non-negotiable dimensions, compatibility and complete budget where they truly apply. Do not blindly copy a radius from a local classifieds site to a marketplace built around shipping. The purchase job stays consistent; the route to the item can change.

Compare early results across sources. One marketplace may use a common nickname while another favours model numbers. Adjust each search to its seller language without changing what would count as a successful find.

Treat capacity as attention, not coverage theatre

Each active search uses one slot at its selected timing. Add a second marketplace when you would genuinely act on its listings, not merely to maximise a marketplace count. A smaller group of searches you understand is easier to tune and less likely to create alert fatigue.
