When to pause, edit or delete a marketplace search

Pause when the need is temporary

Pause after buying, while reconsidering the budget, during travel or when the Feed deserves a break. The search criteria remain visible and resuming takes one action. Pausing also releases its active capacity for another search.

A pause is preferable to making the wording unrealistically narrow just to stop alerts. The original buying intent remains ready if a transaction falls through.

Edit when the buying job remains the same

Change the price, distance, condition or wording after real listings show what needs improvement. Keep the same search when an electric crossover is still the goal but the minimum range changes. Review the summary after editing so suggested details and location remain correct.

Create a different search when the goal changes materially, such as moving from a complete computer to spare components or from one marketplace to another.

Delete when the search has no future value

Delete when the item is permanently irrelevant, the criteria contain information you no longer want stored, or the search was an accidental duplicate. Deletion should be deliberate because the saved setup will no longer be available to resume.

Account deletion is a separate action in Settings. It removes the account and associated searches subject to the privacy notice and records that must be retained for security, billing or law.
